When you think of Rajasthan, grandeur naturally comes to mind—but its true magic goes far beyond majestic palaces and golden deserts. It lives in the soulful echo of folk music drifting across moonlit dunes, in the vibrant chaos of local bazaars, in the rich aroma of Laal Maas slow-cooked over open flames, and in the graceful sway of colorful traditional attire in the desert breeze.

In fact, the city did not expand beyond its walls until the 17th century.
